I commit to making the following principles and practices a regular part of my walk with God.

Submit to the authority of the Scriptures regarding all issues (Psalm 119; 2 Timothy 3.14-17; 2 Peter 1.19-21).
Pursue Jesus through consistent Bible reading, prayer, fellowship, and practice of spiritual disciplines (Luke 18.1; Acts 17.11; 1 Cor 9.24-27; Ephesians 5.1-21).
Regularly participate in the life of City Life Church by attending weekly services and supporting the mission of the church with my finances and time. (Acts 2.42-27; Heb 10.23-25; Rom 12.1-2; 2 Cor 8-9).
By God’s grace and through the power of the Holy Spirit, walk in lifestyle holiness as an act of worship to Christ (1 Peter 1.13-16, 4.1-3). Below are a few examples of actions specifically addressed in Scripture:
I will avoid sexual activity unless married and, if married, complete fidelity within heterosexual marriage. Purity means, among other things, that regardless of my marital status, I will abstain from immoral practices such as adultery, premarital sex, and pornography (Romans 13.11-14; 1 Cor 6.15-20; Eph 5.3,1; 1 Thess 4.1-8; Heb 13.4).
I will refrain from illegal drug use, drunkenness, gossip and other sinful behavior as the Bible speaks. (Rom 1.28-32; Gal 5.19-21; Eph 5.18; James 3.3-18).
As a leader I will do my best to avoid causing others to stumble. This will include not serving alcohol during team events and being intentional with my use of any social media by not posting pictures of alcohol use. (1 Cor 8.9)

I am aware that anything I post on social media is a public reflection not only of my own personal leadership, but also of the leadership of City Life and the authority of the Lord in my heart. I will be intentional about what I choose to post, with the goal of glorifying God in every area of my life. (1 Cor. 10.31)

Confess my sin to God and to fellow believers
Repent and seek help to live in freedom
To submit to the leadership of City Life Church and diligently strive for unity and peace within the church (Eph 4.1-3; Heb 13.17; 1 Pet 5.5).
